Role Menu Access

The Role Menu Access  menu  allows the users to give access to menus. 

Users can have read, write, delete or all access for a menu.

The table below describes each field on the Role Menu Access  form.

Fields

Description

select Role

Select the Role for which Menu access is to be given from the Select Role drop down box.

Select Module

Select the Module from the Module drop down box.

Permission Type

Select the Permission Type from the Permission Type drop down list if the permission type is similar for all menus.

Alternatively, tick the appropriate box for the respective menus per module and role.

Write

Users can Add and Edit data in this Module.

Read

Users can view information only. They cannot add or edit data.

Delete

Users can delete information only. They cannot add or edit information.

All

Users have the access to adding, deleting and editing information.

None

Users do not see or have access to this information. 

 

 

 

 



  Steps to setup Role Menu Access.

  1. Select the Role from the drop down list.
  2. Select the Module from the drop down list. This loads all the functions within the module selected.
  3. Users can then give access to the functions within the module selected (see above for Permission Type).
  4. After entering the record(s), click on the SAVE icon or select CRTL + S to save the record(s) successfully.
  5. Select the close icon or the Alt + F4 shortcut key to close the menu.
