Subject: Customer Search in LinkPOS is slow in the Laucala Bay Pharmacy database
Summary:    

When a user searches for a customer it takes 18 seconds to open the "Customer Search"  screen. The screen is loading all customers.

In version 10, the "Customer Search"  screen was loaded and the users were to search for the customer.

Steps to Replicate

  1. Log into POS
  2. Go to Transaction --> Load Transaction and search for customer.
  3. Also search for a customer for credit sale.

Development work for this case has been completed.

The change will be available in version:11.4.1101

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):

  1. Added a station based configuration "Display all customers when search screen is opened (Y/N)". The default value is "Y". Customers having large number of customers can turn this flag off.

2. Affected Areas:

  1. Customer Search

3. The issue was caused by:

  1. Searching for all customer is slow as the search displays "available credit","Credit Balance", "Layby Balance" which is computed.
