Summary:    

Unable to search for items in POS that starts with code.

Details:

A client has 4000 items with codes starting as:

AVMPL-1001-01, AVMPL-1001-02, etc
VMPL-1001-01, VMPL-1001-02, etc

While searching for items in product search "VMPL", the system does not display the products starting with "VMPL" on the top of the list.

Development work for this case has been completed.

The change will be available in version:11.004

1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information):

  1. Changed POS Product search to display items starting with code as a higher priority. In the above example searching for "VMPL" will display items starting with "VMPL" then display items "AVMPL"

    Hi Rashna,

    The above is implemented on "Point of Sale ~> Search for an item" screen.

    The web search does not have a match index, however, you can use the grid filters to search items starting with code.
