Subject: | Restaurant/Cafe Setup Kitchen Items view needs to be improved to display Kitchen and Cafe processing forms |
Summary: | The Kitchen view is currently not usable as the display has a few faults, namely: - The item does not show on the view
- Kit components are no visible
- Content is too busy
The Kitchen view needs to be improved as follows: - Change the display so the Items and components are visible
- Rearrange the view so it can be understood
- Add the ability to load the view without having to log in. This is required as the monitors will not have a keyboard/mouse and should be automatically loaded.

| Development work for this case has been completed. The change will be available in version:11.0.1021 1. The following changes were made(Include Database object names, Program classes and any other relevant information): - Rearranged the BI View form to make the items clearly visible
- Removed fields that were not necessary
- Added arguments to the POS system to allow a batch file to be set on startup. This will allow restaurants with multiple kitchens, to have different views. For example:
- "Link Technologies - POS.exe" "BI" "FOOD" will display all BULK Items with category FOOD
- "Link Technologies - POS.exe" "BI" "COFFEE" will display all BULK Items with category COFFEE
- Added a filter on the BI Extraction to filter by Item CATEGORY. This will allow kitchen screens to be split into multiple views showing a specific category of items in each view
- Changed BI Extraction to display KIT Items below the main item, as well as quantities
- Corrected alignment of TOP Panel
- Increased width of CARD to allow for longer descriptions
2. Affected Areas: - POS Kitchen and Build Views
3. The issue was caused by: - Unable to implement Kitchen and Coffee Views in V11 Pilot
4. Notes: 5. Next Step: UAT Figure 1 - New BI Build view
