Subject: Performance management Enhancement to Scoring - Manager / Supervisor Default Scoring
Summary:

Objectives:

The objectives of Manager/Supervisor Default Scoring are below:

  1. Speed up the process and time-consuming in doing appraisal assessment for individual employees

  2. Does not give a hard time for the Manager/Supervisor to enter a score for each KPI in each appraisal

Description:

HCM Team is seeking to have an option when Managers log into ESS to do appraisal assessment, the system already inputs the score for them.

  1. The same score that was entered by the employee to be the default score in the Manager/Supervisor score field.
  2. Manager/Supervisor will only have to verify those scores and amend only the ones they would like to amend, insert comments then click on the save and submit button. This is because normally there are only a few KPIs that Manager/Supervisor score will be different from the employee, the rest will be the same.
  3. Therefore, it will be a double job for the Manager/Supervisor to enter the same score for the agreed KPIs score with the employee.
  4. The Proposed solution will improve and speed up the process of appraisal assessment and does not give Manager/Supervisors a hard time doing assessments for their respective employees.

Hi Sanjay,

During my test, the button "Load Employee Entered Score" did not enable although I had the following enabled:

  1. This button will only be enabled when
    1. Employee score is entered and appraisal submitted
    2. The manager is logged in to enter the score
    3. The manager has access to enter the score

UAT details are below:

  1. Appraisal code: APPR000043
  2. Employee E022 has submitted the appraisal

  3. Manager details login: allison, password: allison

Discussion with Aarti and Sanjay. Teams @ 3pm AEST

  1. The term "Manager/supervisor" refers to the approver and excludes HR1 and HR2.
  2. The approver is determined by the Performance Appraisal Workflow.
  3. Only the "Manager/supervisor" can copy the employee score

Discussion with Sanjay and Aarti

Can we change the “Copy Employee Score” to work as follows?

  1. The users in the approval workflow should be able to “Copy Employee Score”
  2. If the Manager copies employee score, the Manager score will be updated
  3. If the HR1/HR2 copies employee score, the HR1/ HR2 score will be updated

I have made the changes requested. Also, note the validations required during score entry will be applied and the  Event Log will have any issues with score entry.
