Subject: Changing the "Cost Centre" for a position should update the cost centre for employees with status "Active and Leave".
Summary:

Tested in version 11.5.423.

Steps to Replicate.

  1. Create a position NP1001.
    1. Territory - NT1001
    2. Branch - NB1001.
    3. Cost Centre - NC1002
  2. Create an employee profile E109. Assign employee position NP1001.Start date 01/01/2020.
  3. Set the profile for employee E109 as "InActive" with "Service End Date" as 28/02/2020.
  4. At this instance the position details are as below:
    1. Territory - NT1001
    2. Branch - NB1001.
    3. Cost Centre - NC1002
  5. Create another profile as E110. Start Date 01/03/2020. Assign employee position NP1001.
  6. Change the cost centre for position NP1001 to NC1001.  This updates the cost for both employees.  Changes should not be done to inactive profile as it affects the history data of the employee.

The territory, branch and cost centre is held at the position level.

If you need to move a position that was previously used, you should create a new position for the new territory, branch, cost centre and move the employee to the new position. The old position can be made inactive.

Please update documentation to reflect this.
