| Summary: | Scenario:
Rena Distributors , distributes "SMOKE STOP" lubricants which comes in different brands "HB", "ABRO"and "NULON". Clients want to track the branding because the customers have the flexibility to choose the brand they want to purchase. Below features is required by Auto Part businesses. - Include a maintenance for "Brand".
- Users should be able to add a "Brand" for a product in the "Product Master".
- The "Brand" should be loaded on the "POS"grid when the product is selected.
- The "Brand" should be loaded on the "Search" grid in POS.
- The "Brand" should displayed in the kit components for a kit setup.
- Users should be able to search by "Brand" on the Product Master.

| Agreed to implement the following design for V11: - Add a new Lookup on the Inventory Master called "Group" which will have a configurable Name. The lookup will be a standard "ID" Description" framework from LinkWEB
- Add a configuration called "Product Master Description Mask" which will allow us to build the product description based on Product Master Properties
- Add full-Text search to puck up the Product Group
- Use a function to GET Product Description using the Mask in 2. above
- Use the function in 4. above to display product description in Inventory Reports
Since the "Masked" product description can have "Group" attached to the description, this will be visible and searchable in the Kit Items maintenance form, therefore, achieving all the requirements in the case header. |

| Hi Rashna, For this release, customers can enter the BRAND in the item description. For example. AA Battery comes in different brands. Items can be set up as follows: - AA Battery - Sony
- AA Battery - Duracell
- AA Battery - Energizer, etc
This way, customers can track stock by branch, search in product master, POS, etc. regards
