Unit of Measure Conversion maintains conversions which is used to purchase inventory.

For example,a bottle of coke is sold as "Each", and the coke factory sells cokes in "Boxes". Each box contains 10 bottles. When creating a purchase order, ordered quantity would be "Box of 10". Product Master will updated with stock as 10 based on the conversion of "Box of 10" to "Each" with a conversion factor of 10.

UOM conversion is used when creating Purchase Orders.

Fields

Description

Product No
The system already has a predefined conversion created. The Product No. is STD. Enter STD in the Product No. field and select enter on the keyboard. The screen displays a list of conversions as displayed above.

From UOM UOM which needs to be converted into smaller units.

To UOM
UOM in which the From UOM selected needs to be stored and sold.

Conv. Factor Defines how many of “To UOM” makes “From UOM”.
