Human Resource Management

Overview

Human Resource Management (HRM) is a comprehensive module designed to provide managers with deep insights into their employees and streamline a wide array of human resources and payroll functions. It serves as a central platform for managing everything from employee data and recruitment to payroll, performance, and training, ensuring data consistency, regulatory compliance, and efficient workforce administration across an organisation.

Key components and functionalities of the Human Resource Management module include:

  1. Employee Access Security: This feature governs who can view or modify employee data, ensuring data privacy and integrity across the system.
  2. Employee Profile: A central hub for managing detailed employee information, including personal and contact details, employment history, pay and financial settings, skills, qualifications, and compliance records.
  3. Leave Management: Oversees all aspects of employee leave, from allocating entitlements and processing applications to managing leave balances, approvals, and adjustments, often with integration into payroll.
  4. Time Management: Efficiently tracks, records, and processes employee work hours and attendance. This includes managing timesheets, rosters, and integrating with biometric devices, with configurable rules for accurate time calculation and validation.
  5. Payroll Processing: Focuses on the accurate calculation, management, and distribution of employee remuneration. It handles pay runs, back pay, statutory submissions (like tax and superannuation), bank file generation, and integration with financial systems.
  6. Payroll & HR Maintenance: Serves as the foundational setup area for HR and payroll. It configures organisational structures, job descriptions, pay calendars, pay codes, shifts, awards, and employee attributes like ethnic background, qualifications, and skills.
  7. Induction & Probation: Manages the onboarding process for new employees through induction modules and topics, and tracks their performance during defined probationary periods.
  8. Health & Safety: Aims to protect employee welfare by recording workplace incidents and managing claims that arise from these incidents. It also handles OHS Committee details.
  9. Performance Management: Provides structured tools for evaluating employee effectiveness. It includes configurable appraisal processes, setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), developing performance plans, and tracking performance points, with role-based access for scoring and feedback.
  10. Training & Development: Enhances employee capabilities through structured learning. It manages training plans and schedules, defines competencies, records course feedback, and maintains a history of employee training, which can automatically update skill profiles.
  11. Recruitment (LinkRM): Streamlines the entire hiring journey from advertising vacancies and managing applicant profiles to conducting interviews and ultimately converting selected candidates into employees.
