Training & Development

Overview

Training and Development is a core Human Resource Management module, crucial for enhancing employee capabilities and aligning them with organisational goals. It provides structured tools for both short-term skill acquisition and continuous professional growth. This module features a comprehensive "Course Management" system, enabling employers to create, maintain, and assign training, directly improving employee performance, skills, knowledge, and competencies.

  1. Training Plans: Facilitates strategic training by defining courses and mapping competency requirements. Plans support notes and automatically enrol employees into relevant "Training Schedules" if dates align. An employee filter aids in management.
  2. Training Schedules: Manages training program execution, detailing dates, courses, venues, and instructors. It tracks staff enrolment, costs, and resources. Completed schedules can update employee skill profiles, and a "Training Schedule Listing" report provides program summaries.
  3. Course Management: Defines and organises training content through Course Maintenance, Course Category, and Course Group. These are vital for aligning content with learning outcomes, with the system filtering out voided entries for accuracy.
  4. Competencies: Outlines essential skills and knowledge required for specific roles. Competencies are integrated into training plans, creating targeted learning paths. Records allow for creation, editing, voiding, and adding notes.
  5. Training Feedback & History: "Course Feedback" captures employee evaluations with notes to justify ratings. This feedback, with skill assessments, forms an employee's "Training History," providing a comprehensive record of completed training courses and their outcomes via dedicated reports.
  6. Foundational Data & Integration: Essential support data is maintained for Instructor, Resource, Venue, and Cost Type. A key integration automatically updates an employee's "Skills" within their profile based on "Learning Outcomes" achieved through training schedules, reflecting new proficiencies.

LinkHR offers a "Course Management" functionality, to create and maintain training courses. This allows employers to align required courses for employee training . Training aims to enhance employee skills, knowledge and competencies which improves the performance of the employees.
